Most of us are acquainted with the laws of the old covenant; we were taught the Ten Commandments in Sunday school and charged to keep these laws. But this was not necessary as they did not belong to us in the first place. Exodus 20:1-17

I actually went through all the Ten Commandments, for the benefit of those who are still ruled by them, so they will know how best to keep them.

Exodus 20:18-20

The people could not stand the thundering, the darkness and tempest but in spite of this great awe they had, they still broke the law of God several times. The law was divided into three parts:

1.       The Commandments[ i. e. the ten commandment]

2.       The Judgments and

3.       The Ordinances.

Exodus 20:1-17

Talks about the commandments [Exodus 21] talks about the Judgments [Exodus 24:2] down to Chapter 24, about 11 chapters were devoted to these ordinances that governed the religious life of the children of Israel.

These two words, Commandment and Judgment are synonymous but they have some remarkable differences. Judgments had to do with the social life of the people.

These three that is the commandments, Judgments and ordinances made up his law of the Old Testament. But the law was not able to make any one perfect, and because of its ineffectiveness, it was abolished [Hebrews 7:18]

This issue is quite controversial with certain believers claiming that God addressed the issue of women wearing trouser when he gave the laws. Even that if should be part of the law; we are not under the law but under the grace. [Romans 6:14-15]

Deuteronomy 22:5

Many people think this scripture is talking about fashion, but the scripture above did not say a man should wear a fashion that pertains to a woman or vice versa.

The word “PERTAINS” means “belongs to” so what God told them was that, a woman should not wear anything which a man had worn, that is, which belongs to a man.

Psalm 133:1-2

From this scripture you can see that the high priest of God had clothes that resembled that of woman. This means that female and male clothes were similar in fashion. But presently, Jesus don’t dress like they did back then that means their fashion changed.

Leviticus 19:19 - says we should not wear mixture of materials like mixture of cotton and wool but some of the material we wear contains mixtures meaning we violate the law. But Glory to God we are justified.
