Rotary Peace Fellowships 2022-2023 for
International Students
Applications
are invited for the Rotary Peace Fellowships for internationals to pursue a
Master’s degree and professional development certificate program. There are 130
scholarships (50 Master’s, 80 Professional development certificate programs)
available for international students to pursue their academic dream from top
universities all over the world. Master’s degree programs are expected to last
15 to 24 months with a two- to three-month field study designed by participants
whereas the Professional development certificate program may last about 3
months.
Rotary
is a global network of 1.2 million neighbors, friends, leaders, and
problem-solvers who see a world where people unite and take action to create
lasting change – across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves. Rotary
started with the vision of one man — Paul Harris. The Chicago attorney formed
the Rotary Club of Chicago on 23 February 1905, so professionals with diverse
backgrounds could exchange ideas and form meaningful, lifelong friendships.
Through
academic training, practice, and global networking opportunities, the Rotary
Peace Centers program develops the capacity of peace and development
professionals or practitioners to become experienced and effective catalysts
for peace.
The
fellowships cover tuition and fees, room and board, round-trip transportation,
and all internship and field-study expenses. Since the program began in 2002,
the Rotary Peace Centers have trained more than 1,400 fellows who now work in
more than 115 countries. Many serve as leaders in governments, NGOs, the military,
education, law enforcement, and international organizations like the United
Nations and the World Bank.
The
Rotary Peace Fellowship is designed for leaders with work experience in peace
and development. Fellows are committed to community and international
service and the pursuit of peace. Each year, The
Rotary Foundation awards up to 50 fellowships for master’s degrees and
80 for certificate studies at premier universities.
