Fulbright Teaching Excellence and Achievement Program: Apply NOW

The Fulbright Teaching Excellence and Achievement Program bring international educators to the United States for a six-week professional learning program featuring academic seminars at a host university and co-teaching placements at area schools. Participants observe classrooms, team-teach, and share their expertise with educators and students at the host university and at a variety of public, private (secular or faith-based), or charter schools. Participants also take part in civic and cultural activities in their host communities.

For more than 75 years, Fulbright Teacher Exchanges, part of the family of offerings within the Fulbright Program, have offered opportunities for educators to learn, teach, consult, observe, and collaborate in classrooms and schools abroad. Educators foster mutual understanding in their communities, prepare students for the globalized, interconnected world, and increase their students’ critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Fulbright Teacher Exchanges are open to primary and secondary (K–12) educators, including teachers, library media specialists, counselors and others. Programs are also available to principals and education leaders on occasion. Eligibility requirements are specified on the program detail pages.
