World Bank ACECoR Masters
And PhD Scholarships For Africans 2024-2025.
The Africa Centre of
Excellence in Coastal Resilience (ACECoR) is a significant initiative
established under the World Bank’s Africa Centre of Excellence (ACE) for the Development Impact Project. ACECoR is hosted by the Centre for Coastal
Management at the University of Ghana, Cape Coast, Ghana. This distinguished
center is now inviting applications from well-qualified candidates, whether
they are nationals, regional, or international students, for its MPhil and PhD
degree programs.
One of the standout
features of these programs is the opportunity for MPhil and PhD students to
secure scholarship awards. These scholarships play a pivotal role in supporting
students throughout their academic journey. They encompass various facets,
including covering tuition fees, accommodation expenses, monthly stipends, and
providing essential field research grants. Furthermore, scholarship recipients
will receive additional material and technical support, ensuring that they have
the resources necessary to excel in their studies.
Moreover, the scholarship
program goes beyond basic financial support. It is designed to empower students
to share their innovative research findings with the wider academic community.
This includes funding to present their research results at both local and
international conferences. Additionally, the scholarship covers publication
fees for research papers submitted to high-impact journals, facilitating the
dissemination of valuable research insights.
It’s important to note
that the continued funding support provided by these scholarships is contingent
on the academic performance of the students, which is assessed through annual
performance reviews. This ensures that students maintain a high level of
commitment to their studies and research activities, ultimately contributing to
the success of the ACECoR program.
In summary, the ACECoR
MPhil and PhD scholarship program represents a remarkable opportunity for
students interested in coastal resilience and related fields. It not only
offers financial assistance but also nurtures talent and research excellence,
fostering the development of future leaders and experts in the critical area of
coastal management and resilience.
